NOTICE.......OverDrive now requires your library card number and a library-specific password in order to check out e-books and downloadable audio books. Please ask the front desk for the password, but be prepared to give staff your name and library card number for verification. Our phone number is 784-2019.
Our hours are Monday-Thursday, 10-7pm; Friday, 10-5pm; Saturday, 10-1 pm.
Stop by the front desk and ask us how you can Check Out a Librarian for your own personal computer, editing, or genealogy research use! This is an ongoing program.

• During September: Photograph your interpretation of the following words and post them to Instagram! In your post, be sure to include the word associated with the daily challenge and #WPLMakeYourMark. For example: you take a picture of the inside of the library with the post #day1library #WPLMakeYourMark. WPL staff will select the best picture for each day's challenge and post the winners on Facebook by October 10th. • Starting 9/9: Children ages birth-5 and their guardians are invited to join us for a drop in Story Time. No registration is needed! There will be three conveinent opportunities to attend Story Time: Tuesdays for Preschoolers and Moms from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm, Wednesdays for Toddlers and Moms from 10:30 am - 10:50 am, and Wednesdays for Preschoolers and Moms from 11:00 am - 11:30 am. This year we are adding an additional Story hour on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 11:00 am - 11:30 am. The first session will be September 20th. Children of all ages are invited to attend with an adult. there will be a story and activity planned. Choose your day and spend some quality reading time with your little ones!
• 9/15: Wilson Public Library's 2nd year of celebrating Dot Day will include activities that run the whole day. From 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, there will be a program for Preschoolers and a parent. Dot Day activities continue for Grades K-6th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. From 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Destination Imagination members will demonstrate making costumes out of duck tape. These kids have created some spectacular costumes for DI Globals Duck Tape Ball. Bring your own duck tape to create costumes afterwards! There will also be a rock painting activity offered at this time for those who would like a change of pace. Celebrate International Dot Day with us at Wilson Public Library! Make your mark on this fun day!
• 9/16: Please take the time to support the Wilson Public Library by attending the annual Runza Day at the Cozad's Runza. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of food items that day will help us pay for new children's books.
